Arlington Heights police received a report recently of a back taxes scam with the scam being recognized at Jewel-Osco, 1860 South Arlington Heights Road Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders contacted the victim, stating he owed back taxes to the IRS. The victim was directed to send a money order to the offender(s) for payment from Walmart and Jewel-Osco. The victim sent $999 at Walmart, and then went to Jewel-Osco. A Jewel employee realized the money scheme was a scam.
